Nicole Malec, Founder & Principal Designer

After years of renovating and flipping homes – several of them historic properties – Nicole combined her design and project management experience to create Parker Spaces, a residential construction coordination & design firm. 

Nicole offers professional home design and logistics support for new construction, renovation projects, and landscape consulting. As a partner for builders, she manages the design, scheduling, procurement, and financial tracking for multimillion-dollar building projects. She oversees all aspects of design & project management: kitchens & baths, lighting, plumbing, tile, outdoor spaces, patios & walkways, and landscape design. Garden consulting focuses on native plants & trees, pollinator gardens, and sustainable easy to manage landscapes. Nicole also guides and supports homeowner clients through the dozens of rapid-fire decisions required to complete complex residential construction projects from framing changes to finishing touches both inside and outside.

Prior to Parker Spaces, Nicole spent twenty years in communications, first reporting for The Hartford Courant, and then managing marketing, print design, and web development for Boston College, MIT, and the University of Southern California. She also taught web design and database development at local universities for more than a decade.

Nicole earned her B.A. with honors from the University of Connecticut and her M.Ed. from Boston College. She also completed graduate work in data analysis and change management ‒ areas so pertinent in today’s real estate development market.
